Everyone, meet Deacon! He’s the new class pet and we couldn’t love him more. He’s a Boston terrier and came to live with us on the Fourth of July. I feel so blessed to have him be apart of our family because we have been wanting a Boston terrier for quite some time. About 6 years ago, when we were in an apartment, a neighbor found a tiny Chihuahua abandoned in a park. He cleaned him up and took him around the complex to see if anyone would home him, of course being the suckers we are, we said yes. After about a month we realized he was a biter. We worried he would bite the tip of our daughter’s finger off, so we searched for a new home. He ended up going to a farm-house with 4 other Chihuahuas and no kids, so he ended up doing very well. That’s when my husband researched family friendly pets and set his sight on a Boston. Fast forward to a couple of months ago, when I went out with a group of girls from church, and one of them had a Boston. I immediately fell in love with him and she let me know they were considering finding him a new home. I jumped at the opportunity to take him and a few weeks later she called and asked if we were still interested. We of course said yes, and we couldn’t be happier!
Isn’t he so handsome? When he arrived at our house, my husband had no idea they were giving him to us. I had my brother-in-law pretend that Deacon was his. (Mean, I know, but I couldn’t help it.) He loves to give kisses, snore, and be cuddled. We adore him and are so happy to finally have a dog!
