When it comes to home decor I’m not the crafter I used to be. I have a long list of crafts and projects I’m “going to do” but probably won’t ever have time to. (Be confident that when I do, you will know about it!) Luckily, little things like this wreath keep me from going over the I don’t ever have time to do things I want to do cliff.
While I was in Dollar Tree, I ran across the 4th of July section. I saw all the cute decor I wouldn’t be buying since I’m not throwing any parties but I really liked the bows they had. I grabbed one knowing I would use it on my wire wreath. I was tired and didn’t want to run to any other stores for burlap, so I did what anyone would do, and picked up two picnic table cloths. I was sure I could make something out of these, and if not at least I had patriotic table cloths to
take to someone else’s party store in my cupboard till next year.
I normally wouldn’t share this but I couldn’t resist since it came out so cute and was so cheap! I usually buy a roll of colored burlap for about $9 from Joann and pick up something cute to stick on for another $5-7 bucks. (I’m not organized enough to print and take those 50% off coupons so I usually pay full price.) That’s still pretty cheap compared to Target but this knocks it out of the park. Here’s a picture of my long list of supplies.
I had to work with it a bit but I’m pretty satisfied with how they turned out for my first time. Not to mention it was only $3 for everything. Score!
What do you think? Should I give it another try with another wreath or stick with the burlap?
